About the Role:The Procurement Expert will be responsible for managing purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely information, and maintaining updates on expected goods ready dates, batch and expiry dates.
This includes partnering with production and logistics leads to ensure a smooth flow of product to meet project timelines.
- Control and maintain all batch and expiry dates, supporting shelf life extensions and aligning relevant systems accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, minimizing risks of delays and cost impact by scheduling products in line with MOQs & lead times, considering customer expectations.
- Support efficiency and process improvement projects, such as cleansing inventory, batch, and expiry information in ERP systems.
- Own and control master data in ERP systems, ensuring alignment with supplier and physical product information.
To be successful in this role, you should have substantial experience in a similar procurement position, preferably with exposure to ERP systems like Sage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage effectively a high level of transactions is essential.
A strong communicator and strategic thinker who can identify opportunities for bulk buys/volume buys is required.
