We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineering Technologist to ensure the smooth operation of our rolling stock maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, utilizing advanced engineering technologies, and adhering to CAF policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on rolling stock to meet production plan requirements.
- Utilize, modify, and adapt engineering technologies for testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Inspect bodywork, roofs, and undercarriages for wear and tear or damage.
- Repair or replace parts as needed.
- Carry out regular checks on brakes and couplings.
- Analyze and modify new and existing engineering technologies for implementation and monitoring of engineering projects.
- Write reports and update the Maintenance Management System to reflect task status.
- Record material movements.
- Ensure tasks meet quality requirements of relevant Railway standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical/Technology Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a broad range of industries, with rail experience highly regarded.
- Electrical fault finding and use of schematics highly regarded.
- Honest and reliable.
- Positive and professional manner.
- Availability for day/afternoon shift work on a rotational basis.
