About the Role

CYOS Solutions is seeking a skilled Radio Frequency Technologist to join our team in Canberra. As an RF Technologist, you will be responsible for the design, integration, testing and documentation of engineering subsystems. You will work across a variety of disciplines including RF hardware design, software configuration, testing and completing systems engineering documentation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, test and document engineering subsystems
• Plan, design, manage, execute and report test and test procedures using appropriate testing tools and techniques
• Produce technical documentation
• Undertake testing using electronic debugging equipment to do fault finding and debugging of embedded hardware devices
• Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures
• Perform design review

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in system design, deployment, sustainment and fault-finding of RF systems
• Broad knowledge across earthing, power, transmission and timing systems
• Ability to modify RF equipment and systems to achieve bespoke operational requirements
• Test integrated solutions against design specifications
• Manufacture and testing of low volume, bespoke cabling. Optical, coaxial and signalling

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in satellite communications
• Experience in Data Centre / Transmission Room systems and design
• Electrical Trade certificate
• Rope Access and working at heights
• Application of ARPANSA RF standards
• Experience in RoIP technologies
