The Department
Caulfield Rehabilitation Services is the statewide provider of rehabilitation for non-traumatic spinal and burns patients, as well as goal-directed rehabilitation for patients following neurological events or amputations.
The Role
This Clinical Support & Development Nurse position plays a crucial role in supporting nursing excellence in subacute care settings.
Responsibilities include mentoring and developing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and addressing professional growth needs in rehabilitation clinical environments.
- Provide education, support, and mentorship to nursing staff in rehabilitation care settings
- Collaborate with clinical and organisational stakeholders to identify and address staff development needs
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional rehabilitation nursing practice
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational initiatives tailored to rehabilitation nursing priorities
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Working towards or holding a Master of Nursing or Education
- Proven experience in education roles and clinical leadership within rehabilitation care
- Extensive clinical knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation nursing
- Strong understanding of nursing scope of practice, supervision, and delegation in rehabilitation settings
