About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with a diverse client base, spanning from children to adults with various physical and intellectual disabilities.

Our team provides flexible and personalized care, offering therapy in clients' homes, community settings, or our office. You will conduct thorough functional assessments, set personalized goals, and empower clients to achieve those milestones through therapy and assistive technology recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and their families to understand their needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement client plans, ensuring effective monitoring and reviews.
  • Conduct home and community visits as required.
  • Liaise with medical and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Coach and advise team members and carers on therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops to promote client engagement and progress.
  • Attend meetings and maintain accurate documentation to ensure seamless communication and care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, particularly in a therapy setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve client goals.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations.
