Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a team and supervise craft professionals on our Pluto Train 2 project in Western Australia. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinating subcontract work activities, and ensuring that craft professionals have the tools required to be productive and comply with project policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership / Supervision:
    • Supervise and/or direct craft activities as assigned.
    • Schedule work to be performed and review work accomplished by each craft.
  • Planning / Productivity:
    • Determine workforce requirements.
    • Coordinate established area operational plans.
  • Tools, Materials & Equipment:
    • Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site.
    • Oversee the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensure that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
  • Safety & Quality:
    • Ensure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
    • Ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
  • Technical:
    • Work with Construction Field Engineers, Leading Hands, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
    • Oversee engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Leading Hands and Craft Professionals.

Requirements:

  • Requires WA electrical license and 6-8 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience in permit preparation and Lock Out/Tag Out is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of temporary power systems, generators and AS3012.
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas an advantage.
  • Experience in managing a direct hire work force.
  • Commercial awareness essential.

Working Conditions:

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required.
