The Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to work on a 4:3 or 5:2 roster DIDO reporting to the Regional Operations Manager. The primary function is to provide maintenance and resource planning to deliver safe, predictable, and reliable outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and scheduling both short and long-term for Mobile Maintenance Equipment adhering to all BTP and customer maintenance and planning procedures.
  2. Ensure parts, equipment, resources, and tooling are available when required.
  3. Develop maintenance plans to provide maximum production and minimize downtime and costs.
  4. Ensure all maintenance and statutory information stored in the CMMS is detailed, accurate, and current.
  5. Timely communication of any foreseeable disruptions to planned events.

Requirements:

  1. Automotive or Engineering Trade Certification.
  2. 5 years' experience in mobile equipment maintenance.
  3. Work planning, forecasting, and scheduling skills with previous experience in a similar role.
  4. Delivery-focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the workshop in exceeding customer expectations.
  5. Intermediate Computer Literacy Skills (including MS Office Suite).
  6. Experience with previous ERP or Maintenance Planning Systems (CMMS).
  7. Good communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  8. Understands how to influence key metrics such as Labour utilization, as well as Efficiency performance measures.
  9. Ability to work successfully within a team both BTP and with the customer and autonomously.
  10. Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly.
  11. Highly developed attention to detail.
  12. Previous experience maintaining/rebuilding Caterpillar equipment.
  13. Knowledge of the Caterpillar SIS system and dealer parts and service process.
  14. Current Coal Board Medical and valid Driver's Licence.
