About the Role:

As a regional Curriculum Leader (Enrichment Focus) within the regional music team, this role operates under the direct supervision of the Regional Music Coordinator.

The position is based at the Music Resource Centre, with travel to schools and regional offices within Metropolitan North Region as required in the context of the role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering cluster and regional events aligned with curriculum and program policy to enhance student outcomes and provide opportunities for teaching quality improvement in the Instrumental Music program.
  • Developing services, programs, and events to support schools and teachers responding to local needs and contexts.
  • Reviewing and reporting on program effectiveness using relevant data, and communicating findings to stakeholders including schools and the region to increase engagement and alignment.
  • Developing recommendations for future programs and events to enhance student outcomes and engagement, and build teacher capability.
  • Participating as an Instrumental Music curriculum leader on the state Instrumental Music team, contributing to curriculum resourcing, state calibration, professional development, and conferences.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in delivering educational programs and events.
  • Expertise in the Queensland Instrumental Music program and curriculum, including in-depth knowledge of one of the IM curriculum families (woodwind, brass, percussion, strings).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and programs with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective time and people management skills to deliver successful outcomes.
