About the Role

Healthscope is seeking a skilled Ward Clerk to provide administrative support to our clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and other customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with clinicians and nursing staff to coordinate daily operations.
  • Prepare patient files, appointment lists, and coordinate with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files.
  • Manage medical records and maintain accurate filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including data entry and communication with other departments.
  • Liaise with allied health professionals, wards personnel, and other hospital departments to facilitate patient treatments and transfers.

Requirements:

  • Prior healthcare experience as a Ward Clerk is highly regarded.
  • Excellent computer literacy, accuracy, and experience in using MS Office software.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clinical and non-clinical staff to prioritize deadlines for patient surgeries.
