Confined Space Labourer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Confined Space Labourer to join our team for an ongoing opportunity on Garden Island Defence base or Western Sydney near Parramatta.

This role involves working at heights and confined spaces using high-pressure water blasting equipment, industrial vacuum systems (wet and dry), and conducting thorough cleaning of internal surfaces.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Safely entering and working within various confined spaces following strict adherence to all entry procedures and safety protocols.
  • Operating high-pressure water blasting equipment for thorough cleaning of internal surfaces.
  • Utilising industrial vacuum tankers/trucks (wet and dry systems) for efficient waste removal.
  • Maintaining meticulous cleanliness and compliance with Sydney Water or Defence standards.

Requirements for this position include:

  • White Card
  • Confined Space Entry Ticket
  • Working at Heights Certificate

Highly Desirable qualifications include:

  • Defence pass for Garden Island
  • Confined Space Sydney Water certification - rescue and gas testing
  • HR Truck License
  • Vacuum truck/tanker experience
  • Experience handling HPW units
  • Use of MSA Gas monitors
  • Hepatitis A & B and Tetanus vaccinations
