Role Overview

The Sustainability team at Macquarie Asset Management is responsible for developing and implementing the company's sustainability strategy and ESG framework. As an ESG Specialist, you will provide specialist expertise on environmental and social matters, and support asset management teams in harnessing ESG opportunities across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an internal and external consultant for integrating ESG best practices into the Fixed Income investment life cycle
  • Driving the implementation and execution of the company's Net Zero roadmap, including engagement strategy
  • Building strong relationships and leveraging the expertise of both the Fixed Income and Sustainability teams

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the asset management industry, with a focus on fixed income or equities
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in sustainability or ESG
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate a large, complex, and matrixed organization
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to apply a sustainability lens to business strategy and outcomes
