About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our team at our depot in Ryde. As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will be responsible for performing minor repairs and services of vehicles and equipment, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson.

Job Description

The successful applicant will have completed grade 10 or above high schooling or tertiary equivalent, with good mathematics, science, and English skills. A strong work ethic, reliable, punctual, honest, and committed to completing your trade qualification is essential. You will also need good communication skills, a strong focus on safety in the workplace, and a positive 'Can Do' attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, learn the skills required to be part of the Workshop team
  • Perform minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience, under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson
  • Enter into a 4-year training contract within a secure employment environment, undertaking a nationally recognised training program in Auto Body Repair - Cert III Automotive Body Repair Technology
  • Complete all units of the apprenticeship to the required standards and within the required time frame(s)
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $45,000 - $80,000 per year, including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances (inc. superannuation). You will also receive annual leave loading of 5% - 20% (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern) and up to 5 weeks annual leave (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern).
