About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Collision Repair Specialist to join our team at Busways Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and cleaning of all surfaces prior to any paint application taking place, including filing, grinding, and sanding the body of a vehicle to restore a smooth vehicle surface.
  • Removal, repair, and replacement of allocated panels that are damaged.
  • Maintenance of all spray-painting equipment and tools provided by the Company.
What We Offer
  • A highly competitive salary of $90,000 - $115,000+ per annum, including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances (including superannuation).
  • Earning potential: $37.19 - $40.92 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
  • Tool allowance: $20.61 payable weekly.
  • Attendance allowance: $30.15 payable on rostered worked hours.
  • Annual leave loading of 5% - 20% (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern).
  • Up to 5 weeks annual leave (dependent on consecutive shift type and pattern).
  • 15 days sick leave accrued annually.
  • Eligible for long service leave after 7 years.
  • Ongoing training and development, including in-house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.
  • Exposure to advanced technologies, working on a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies.
  • Licence upgrade opportunities, upgrading from a car licence to MR licence with costs covered by the company.

Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications (MVTC essential).
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable satisfactory level of skills relative to a spray-painting role.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
  • Experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Proactivity and motivation in finding better ways to continuously improve, while being adaptable in a dynamic and growing team.
  • Physical fitness to carry out the necessities of the role.
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • A current unrestricted Australian drivers' license issued by the relevant state.
