Medical Instrument Technician

This is a challenging role for an experienced Medical Instrument Technician to join our team in a casual position.

We are looking for a skilled professional who can provide sterilisation support to the theatres by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.

As a key member of our CSSD team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the requirements of the surgical services department are met, and the services provided by other consumers are maintained.

The Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the theatre teams, ensuring that all equipment and instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilised.

You will work closely with the surgery team to ensure that all instruments and equipment are prepared and ready for use during procedures.

About the Role:

This is a casual position working 0.5-1 FTE (full-time equivalent) per week.

The successful candidate will work under supervision to provide sterilisation support to the BRHS theatres.

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and discretion to resolve problems and make decisions.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as inventory management, procurement, and supply chain logistics.

This role would suit someone who is highly motivated, proactive and able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
