Instrument Technician – Casual Position

Our organization is seeking a motivated Instrument Technician to join our Perioperative Services team in a casual position.

This opportunity offers a great chance to work within a supportive and professional team and contribute to the delivery of safe patient care.

  • The successful candidate will work under supervision to provide sterilization support to our theatres by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment.
  • As a collaborative member of the CSSD team, you will work within established procedures to ensure the requirements of the surgical services department are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing sterilization support to our theatres
  • Working under supervision to maintain established procedures
  • Collaborating with the CSSD team to meet departmental requirements
Requirements:
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services (desirable for Grades 1 or 2)
  • Prior experience working in a CSSD team
  • A good understanding of the role of an Instrument Technician
  • Proficiency complying with standards of practice and demonstrated accountability for actions in all aspects of the work environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
