Job Description

The role of a Permanent Fugal Operator at Invicta Mill involves continuous shift work, weekend work, and some overtime during the Crushing Season (June-December). This position requires a day worker with Rest and Recreation days most Fridays during the Maintenance Season (January-May).

This position will see you working in a team environment, where employees are valued, with opportunities for further training. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, be self-motivated, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce Raw Sugar and C seed/magma that consistently satisfies customer expectations with respect to technical and quality specifications.
  • Sample, inspect, and perform basic analysis on sugar and molasses streams, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Separate sugar from molasses with minimal losses of sugar into the molasses stream.

You will also be required to:

  • Monitor syrup/magma/massecuite stocks and inform the pan stage operators when levels are abnormal.
  • Regularly inspect plant, equipment, and complete maintenance requests.
  • Completion of log books, charts, and any other data collection required by management.
