Job Title:

A System Design Specialist

  • A Systems Engineer will be responsible for delivering complex projects that safeguard Australia's future.

This role will contribute to the delivery of Defence and national security projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team working on Joint Data Networks, engineering activities from requirements development to introduction into service.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Planning and Execution of project Engineering Programmes
  • Conducting requirements and specification development
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing engineering advice to Project Leadership
  • Reviewing contract deliverables and supporting system level certification activities

The requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field
  • Analysis, design, review and delivering high-quality engineering documentation
  • Initiative, creativity and responsibility to perform complex technical work activities
  • Managing technical and integration risks
  • Understanding of Defence processes and structure

A minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance is required for this role. Strong communication skills and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are essential.
