Chief Financial Strategist

The role of Financial Controller is to oversee the financial strategy and performance of a commercial construction business. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong background in developing and coordinating strategic financial plans for the business group and its management team.
Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining financial reports, including cash flow, WIP spreadsheets, business summaries, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, end-of-project reviews, and budget vs actual comparisons for all projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will liaise with external accounts, solicitors, auditors, and insurance providers to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You- Substantial experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller, preferably with companies exceeding $50 million turnover.
- CPA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience working in a construction business, with a strong understanding of industry-specific financial challenges and opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and great systems skills.
