Cyber Security Professional Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Operational & Advisory Team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting cyber security initiatives and commitments.

Key Accountabilities
  • Contribute technical expertise and knowledge to report on current and emerging cyber security risks and trends.
  • Support the development of best practice, technical cyber security advice within relevant strategies, programs, and policies across the NSW Government to ensure a continuous and timely response to evolving cyber threats.
  • Conduct research, planning, and product development using a risk-based approach to create guidance that proactively supports NSW departments, agencies, and local councils in building cyber resilience.
  • Identify, interpret, and analyse data using linking and statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns in data sets, and create inferences or insights.
  • Produce reports, briefings, visualisations, and recommendations to advise Senior Leaders on supporting cyber security initiatives and service delivery.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders through consultation and responsive advice, ensuring cyber security guidance aligns with their needs.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical and/or strategic policy issues and advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Adept at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and presenting insights for strategic decision-making.
