About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical network operations support to Amazon.com customers to diagnose and respond to large-scale events
  • Contribute to operational on-call rotating roster
  • Operate and troubleshoot network routing, inter-connectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues; including necessary low-level application interaction, Unix systems, and new-age networking software tools
  • Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at higher
  • Work closely with our Network/Systems & Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools
  • Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure that we are fully compliant to those standards and policies
  • Participate and drive impact mitigation during large-scale events utilizing an established Event Management process
  • Drive event deep dives for large-scale events, deliver high-quality documentation for the events and drive corrective actions to completion
  • Improve our detection mechanisms by designing- Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
  • Collaborate with highest tier escalation engineers/resolvers
  • Identify and drive opportunities to repeatable tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools
