We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to build and maintain our APIs and services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design systems that scale, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure performance, reliability, and clean abstraction across our platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Build secure, scalable APIs in Node.js using TypeScript
  • Design systems that scale from user onboarding to QR event ingestion
  • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and data teams to deliver cohesive features
  • Improve observability, testing, and service performance
  • Lead code reviews and mentor mid-level engineers

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years in backend development, ideally in fast-paced product teams
  • Deep Node.js experience, with strong fundamentals in async architecture
  • Familiarity with GCP or other cloud environments
  • Good understanding of system design, data modelling, and API security
  • Clear communicator and collaborator across functions
