Behaviour Support Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing supervision and support to our Core and Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Person Centred Behaviour Support to a complex caseload.
- Deliver training and development programs as required.
- Network and build relationships with local communities.
- Work within a capacity building model with various stakeholders and customers.
Requirements:
- Minimum ten years' experience working with diverse people with disabilities, including those with complex needs.
- Five years' experience in a behaviour support role.
- Five years of mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience working with Positive Behaviour Support approaches.
- A passion for capacity building and customer rights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload.
- Confidence using new technologies.
- Eligibility to work as an NDIS Commission approved Advanced Practitioner.
