Job Description

Northcott's Clinical Services include Therapy, Behaviour Support, Dietetics, Sexuality and Relationships, and Orthotics and Footwear.

The Behaviour Support team delivers Person Centred Behaviour support to customers, services, and staff at Northcott.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and support to Core and Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners.
  • Deliver Person Centred Behaviour support to a complex caseload.
  • Develop and deliver training on Person Centred Behaviour support as required.
  • Navigate relationships with local community stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with consumers, stakeholders, and customers within a capacity building model.
  • Engage in project work identified by the organisation.
  • Embody Northcott's core values: Innovative, Respectful, Brave.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience working with diverse people with disabilities, including those with complex needs.
  • 5+ years' experience in a role with behaviour support responsibilities.
  • 5+ years' experience mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Experience working with Positive Behaviour Support approach.
  • Person Centred approach expertise.
  • Prioritisation of capacity building and customer rights.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse caseloads efficiently.
  • Proficiency in new technologies.
  • Eligibility for NDIS Commission approved Advanced Practitioner status.
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing, Social or Health Sciences; or completed Positive Approach to Behaviour Support Core Standard including appraisal process (FACS).
  • Current driver's licence.
