Job Summary
Certis Security Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gatehouse Security Officer to join our team. As a Gatehouse Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our client sites, while providing exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations
- Manage vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes to ensure secure and efficient site access.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance and respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, and CCTV systems.
- Conduct internal and external foot patrols to identify and report any security risks or vulnerabilities.
- Administration and Reporting
- Check emails and administration tasks, and complete required reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
- Issue permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor, and visitor passes.
- Customer Service and Communication
- Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms, and any checks.
- Respond to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, CCTV systems, and any issues raised by staff or contractors.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role(s) with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Prior demonstrated experience in staff management and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar environment, managing client relationships.
- Qualifications
- The applicable Security Licence of the State or Territory in which you work and a current Senior First Aid Certificate in accordance with the applicable Security legislation and associated Regulations.
- A current and applicable Drivers Licence of the State or Territory in which you work, if the inherent requirements of your position require you to drive.
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
- Skills and Abilities
- Advanced Computer Skills – literacy in all MS Office products.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills – verbal and written.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
