Job Title

LFE Community Supports is seeking individuals who can serve as a mentor/role model to adults and children with challenged abilities.

The goal is to support participants in achieving their goals, increasing daily living skills, building confidence in social interactions, and encouraging community connections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist participants in working towards their goals outlined in NDIS Plans
  • Provide one-on-one support or group activities, weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Interest in working with people with challenged abilities and diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • High computer skills
  • Self-motivation and ethics with a common sense approach
  • Interpersonal skills, including self-awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as an active team member
  • Advocate for participants when necessary
  • Assist with Personal Care and Medication when required
  • Full employment history, including education level and year completed
Certifications and Licenses
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Current driver's license
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Clearance Screening
