About the Role

The Physiotherapy Assistant will provide key support to the musculoskeletal and spinal rehabilitation teams at Alfred Health. This role will assist physiotherapists with assessment and treatment, exercise programs, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physiotherapists with assessment and treatment of patients
  • Provide exercise and mobility programs as prescribed by physiotherapists
  • Deliver equipment and complete associated paperwork
  • Coordinate and organize services upon discharge
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry and equipment ordering

Requirements

  • Must possess a Certificate III or higher qualification in a relevant health science area
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting or with a multidisciplinary health team is desirable
  • Clinical experience in rehabilitation and aged care is also desirable
