The Department of Defence is seeking highly-motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative individuals to join the Strategy, Policy, and Industry Group. As a Policy Officer or Analyst, you will contribute to the Department's key policy and national security functions to protect and further Australia's national interests.

Key responsibilities include devising long-term strategy and policies to guide and align Defence, directing Defence's international engagement, and helping build a sovereign industrial base.

You must demonstrate effective teamwork skills, sound judgement with an innovative approach to problem solving, good written and verbal communication skills, emerging stakeholder relationship-building skills, strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, and adaptability, resilience and flexibility in the face of changing priorities.

The roles are spread across all areas of the Strategy, Policy, and Industry Group. While we offer a high degree of flexibility in the way we work, these positions are all located in Canberra.
