About Our Team

SPACECOMD is a multidisciplinary workforce across Navy, Army, Air Force, Australian Public Service, and industry. The team is responsible for preparing space power to secure Australia's interests in peace and war.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyse activities to identify and address Governance framework gaps and risks to capability.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of Governance and frameworks in accordance with legislation and Defence policies.
  • Provide advice on the application of Governance within legislation and Defence policies and procedures.
  • Plan, organise, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Manage complex work packages in compressed timeframes.
  • Engage with stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships.

Requirements

  • Strong planning and time management skills, particularly prioritisation and critical thinking.
  • Judgement and a bias for action in driving outcomes, including problem solving and flexibility.
  • Financial and contracting experience.
  • Skillful communicator (both written and verbal).
