Job Overview

The Superintendent will play a pivotal role in leading a large-scale infrastructure project for the Gold Coast community.

This individual will be responsible for delivering a major infrastructure project, working collaboratively with the Project Manager and broader team to select resources, develop planning processes, and ensure daily adherence to plans and methods.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and team to select resources, including personnel, equipment, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement detailed planning processes, including overall project programs and short-term look-ahead programs.
  • Oversee daily adherence to plans and methods by field supervisors.
  • Plan construction methodology in advance and communicate options with the project team to achieve success.
  • Implement and manage HSE&Q project plans, and address non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and oversee project HSEQ performance and culture, ensuring compliance with joint venture safety management policies and project specifications.
Requirements:
  • Essential Skills:
  • A minimum of extensive experience in supervising multi-disciplined work teams across buildings, structures, and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in supervising railway station construction and working in brownfield rail environments in Queensland is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of environmental compliance and high safety performance standards on-site, aligning with legislation and site standards.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to improve productivity and drive project outcomes.
  • Strong client and subcontractor stakeholder management skills, through development and maintenance of effective relationships.
