Expert Pain Management Professional

The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 plays a vital role in providing expert leadership, clinical advice, and consultancy services to healthcare professionals, patients, and families. This position requires delivering high-quality service while practicing as a member of the multidisciplinary team in pain management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert leadership and clinical advice on pain management strategies
  • Develop specialized education resources for pain management for patients and their families
  • Act as a resource to other healthcare professionals and services to enhance capability, knowledge, and delivery of pain management services
Requirements:
  • Current Authority to Practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience including 3 years' experience in the specialty and postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict
  • Ability to lead quality improvement, practice development, and evidence-based practice
  • Extensive clinical expertise and clinical leadership in chronic and acute pain management
