Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Wynter Street Medical Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our doctors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions and provide appropriate care and treatment.
  • Wound Management: Provide expert care for patients with wounds, including dressing changes, debridement, and wound closure.
  • Immunisations and Vaccinations: Administer immunisations and vaccinations to patients, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of vaccine schedules and contraindications.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Conduct spirometry, audiometry, ECG, and other diagnostic tests as required, ensuring accurate results and effective communication with patients and doctors.
  • Health Assessments and Chronic Disease Management: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop care plans for patients with chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension.
  • Workplace Medicals: Conduct medicals for employees, including pre-employment checks and regular health assessments.
  • Assistance with Clinical Procedures: Assist doctors with clinical procedures, including excisions, and provide support with infection control and sterilisation.
  • Result Recalls and Patient Reminders: Ensure timely recall of test results and patient reminders, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and doctors.
  • Cold Chain Management and Stock Control: Maintain accurate records of vaccine storage and handling, and manage stock levels to ensure effective inventory control.
