We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Planning Manager to join our team at Viatris. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing planning and scheduling processes to ensure efficient execution of capacity planning across all of Operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain planning and scheduling processes and tools to effectively execute capacity planning.
- Lead a team of Planners, Coordinators, and Administration support, mentoring them in best practice planning and scheduling techniques and processes.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain Managers to formulate, develop, and implement planning strategies to meet business requirements for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
- Oversee the preparation of Manufacturing, Packaging, and Maintenance plans and schedules to ensure efficient execution.
- Maintain a rolling three-month Operational plan, including supporting ad-hoc events and schedule adjustments.
- Oversee the preparation of timely Operations plans and monitor their progress to ensure they minimize domestic and export back-orders and maximize customer delivery date adherence.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure Operations plans and schedules achieve on-time manufacture of product.
- Prioritize the use of resources to ensure all tasks are planned and completed on time by the team.
- Identify areas of opportunity and risk for future supply requirements within the Operations capacity plan and collaborate with Department leads to resolve them.
- Coordinate administration services for the Operations team, including preparation and closing of documents, continually optimizing processes to minimize errors.
- Prepare factual, clear, and well-structured reports and analyze situations to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Manage improvement projects to meet agreed objectives and outcomes.
- Establish and maintain collaborative cross-functional relationships.
- Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators, and participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.
- Previous experience in leading a planning/scheduling function.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Post-graduate in Finance or Leadership desirable.
- SAP experience.
