
Business Analyst for Cloud Financial Accounting

As a proactive and detail-oriented business analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the establishment and ongoing operations of our FinOps Centre of Excellence (CoE). This is an exciting opportunity to drive cloud financial accountability and operational efficiency across the organisation.
Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across business and technology teams through effective engagement and collaboration.
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance overall business performance.
- Utilise information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise and support mitigation and resolution of risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable.
- Create detailed user stories to support delivery and facilitate seamless communication among team members.
- Mentor/train team members; participate in business analyst chapters/forums providing insights and thought leadership to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- FinOps Knowledge: Experience or certification in FinOps practices is highly desirable.
- Cloud & Container Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or containerisation technologies.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and experience in finance-related roles or environments.
- Minimum 5 years Business Analysis experience in a project/delivery oriented role within a large organisation.
- Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience, including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into appropriate solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills, including experience with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and make a difference.
- Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
