Job Title: Financial Planning Manager

Martinus Rail is seeking an experienced financial planning professional to lead and manage project cost reporting for a significant infrastructure project.

The successful candidate will require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with operations teams to ensure effective cost management throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop Project Budgets: Develop and maintain accurate project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance teams, monitoring budget variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  2. Evaluate Change Requests: Evaluate change requests and update budgets accordingly, working closely with project managers.
  3. Track and Analyze Project Costs: Track and analyze project costs, including expenditures, budgets, and forecasts, to align with project objectives and financial targets.
  4. Prepare Financial Forecasts: Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  5. Review Contracts and Agreements: Review contracts and agreements to ensure adherence to financial terms and conditions.
  6. Develop Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  7. Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to project cost management.
  8. Identify Opportunities: Identify opportunities to enhance cost control processes and tools.
  9. Liaise with Stakeholders: Liaise with project stakeholders to provide regular updates on project financial performance and address cost-related queries or concerns.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  2. Experience: Proven experience in financial management or cost control, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
  3. Familiarity with Project Management Principles: Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
