About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare in Ballarat, VIC.

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering clinical services in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
  • Service RAC clients in accordance with treatment plans, ensuring a high standard of care and attention to detail.
  • Transport residents to and from therapy sessions, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Set up and pack away therapy equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Collect referrals and perform administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
  • Order prescribed equipment and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Run exercise groups and programs, promoting physical activity and engagement.
  • Support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Consult with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to adapt treatment plans, ensuring client progress and satisfaction.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals, aligning with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
Requirements
  • Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent qualification.
  • Australian working rights and willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
  • Healthcare knowledge and ability to independently deliver treatment plans.
  • Strong time management and accountability skills, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Clinical knowledge and strong communication skills, promoting effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Drivers Licence and reliable car, ensuring safe transportation of clients.
