Enhancing Student Potential as an Occupational Therapist

The Catholic Education community in the Northern Territory is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join their team. This vital role will play a key part in supporting students to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
About the Position- This occupational therapist position will provide consultative and clinical support to schools across the Northern Territory, using a Response to Intervention (RtI) approach to guide strategies for handwriting, sensory processing, movement, daily living skills, assistive technology, and curriculum access.
- You will lead professional development and coaching to build the skills and confidence of school staff and Inclusion Support Services colleagues.
- Your work will also involve supporting the design and implementation of inclusive programs, sensory spaces, and adjustments to meet the needs of all students.
- Provide consultative and clinical support to schools, using a Response to Intervention (RtI) approach to guide strategies across various areas.
- Lead professional development and coaching to build the skills and confidence of school staff and Inclusion Support Services colleagues.
- Support the design and implementation of inclusive programs, sensory spaces, and adjustments to meet the needs of all students.
- Conduct assessments, prepare high-quality reports, and maintain accurate records to inform evidence-based interventions and Educational Adjustment Plans.
- Collaborate with schools, community agencies, and stakeholders to promote inclusion and best-practice strategies.
- A degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in assessing and supporting school-age children, with the ability to tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs.
- A valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence and a current Ochre Card.
- Competitive Salary $117,027 to $138,503 + superannuation.
