We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Brisbane. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our childcare services, working closely with our Service Coordinator and management team to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of quality programs for children aged 0-12 years
- Manage the day-to-day running of programs, including staff supervision and coordination
- Support the Service Coordinator with staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including child safety and wellbeing
- Undertake administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services)
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous
- Administration hours off the floor to support your professional growth and development
