Job Title: Project Officer - West Pilbara
DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and organised professional to provide administrative support to a range of projects, initiatives, services or systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on our strategy and outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the advancement of social, economic, and cultural wellbeing. Our team operates across key areas such as health, education, housing, culture, enterprise development, and employment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to various projects and initiatives.
- Organise meetings, forums and events, including invitations, venue booking, travel arrangements, equipment, catering and meeting correspondence.
- Deliver customer service to members and stakeholders.
- Purchasing and procurement coordination, including consumables and merchandise.
- Support preparation of reports, minutes, presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Maintain corporate records and coordinate mail services.
- Travel and accommodation bookings, fleet coordination and reviews.
- Identify and implement improvements in tasks and administrative procedures.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal people and demonstrate understanding of Aboriginal Australian culture.
- Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
- Proven time management and organisational skills to manage diverse workload within time constraints.
- Well-developed experience in undertaking administrative tasks, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
- Research and conceptual thinking skills, with ability to analyse information to solve problems.
- Ability to work positively and effectively in a team environment.
- Adaptability and openness to learning new skills and methodologies.
