Education Transformation Specialist

This role involves providing academic, social, physical, and skills development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them for success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Creates a learning environment conducive to growth and appropriate to student maturity and needs.
  2. Establishes classroom behavior standards and maintains classroom management.
  3. Assesses student progress and provides written and oral progress reports to parents and administrators.
  4. Plans curriculum and prepares lessons to meet individual student needs based on educational, physical, and emotional levels of development.
  5. Confers with parents, administrators, and specialists to develop educational programs for students.
  6. Develops learning materials tailored to students' abilities and interests.
  7. Instructs students using educational strategies to improve sensory motor and perceptual-motor development, perception, memory language, communication skills, cognition, social, and emotional development.
  8. Motivates students and provides consistent reinforcement of learning skills.
  9. Maintains accurate records as required by law and district regulations.
  10. Assists administration in implementing policies and rules governing student activities and conduct.
  11. Sponsors student activities and tutors students as requested.
Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate. Must be highly qualified.

Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement. Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.
