An Air Quality Monitoring Specialist role in Melbourne requires a strong background in environmental science and monitoring.
**Key Responsibilities**
This position involves:
- Delivering high-quality air monitoring operations & services
- Providing scientific response services during incidents or emergencies to aid with rapid understanding of risks
- Coordinating Incident Air Monitoring, Community Smoke Monitoring, and Incident Environmental Monitoring capability to provide rapid response monitoring and investigation for air, water, and contaminated land
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
You'll need tertiary qualifications in environmental science/applied science/engineering, as well as:
- Expertise in environmental monitoring including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment (preferably air monitoring)
- Ability to undertake technical troubleshooting & follow processes and procedures and work within a quality system
- Knowledge of techniques to monitor the environment and use scientific equipment relevant for environmental chemistry and/or monitoring
