Warehouse Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Docking of goods and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operating a forklift to move materials around the warehouse.
  • Communicating effectively with truck drivers, staff, clients, and other contacts in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Initiating and implementing stock control procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Performing basic computer and paperwork tasks as required.
  • Maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high-quality work standards.
  • Working punctually and adhering to schedules and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the steel or metals industry (an advantage).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Basic computer literacy and knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Work Environment:

The role is located in Adelaide, South Australia, and offers a temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable company in the steel and metal industry.
