Academic Leadership Position

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary academic leadership and working collaboratively with key leaders to ensure cohesive, student-centred learning that enables students and staff to thrive.

  • Applicants should have experience in a senior academic leadership role, preferably in an independent or Anglican school setting.
  • Leadership experience in leading whole-school academic strategy, with a deep understanding of curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy, and assessment frameworks is essential.
  • A forward-thinking approach to education, capacity to contribute to strategic planning, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement are also required.
  • Additionally, proficiency in operational management and data analysis to monitor student progress and inform teaching practice is necessary.
  • Requirements include exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage and collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external educational bodies.
  • The successful candidate will also need to commit to supporting student wellbeing and academic success through inclusive and responsive practices that enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Other key requirements include tertiary qualifications in education, the right to work in Australia, and hold or be eligible for Queensland teacher registration.
  • The anticipated commencement date is January 2026.
