Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated clinical hospital pharmacist to join our team at Epworth Freemasons Hospital. In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and assist in the dispensary, ensuring all pharmacy operations meet our rigorous standards while promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.

About the Role:

  • Efficiently and effectively dispensing and distributing medication.
  • Conducting medication history interviews, performing medication reconciliation, and preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
  • Offering medication counselling and education to patients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide advice on patient care.
  • Contributing to training and educational sessions for pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medical personnel, and allied health professionals.
  • Assisting in overseeing imprest services and ensuring the continuity of medication supply.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Permanent Australian working rights.
  • General Pharmacist registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
  • Previous Pharmacy Dispensary experience within Australia.
  • Strong ability to manage your workload independently, paired with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • A genuine passion for advancing your clinical skills and knowledge.
