About the Role

We're excited to announce an opportunity for permanent part-time Hospital Pharmacists to join our team at Slade Pharmacy, Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne.

You will be based in the dispensary, ensuring safe medication use, assisting with patient counselling, discharge preparation, and collaborating with the hospital team.

This role is ideal for hospital pharmacists seeking a flexible weekend role or community pharmacists looking to enter a hospital setting. Full hands-on training and support are provided, along with access to Icon's national Career Pathway program.

Located within walking distance from Jolimont or Parliament Station, this position offers convenience, professional growth, and the opportunity to be part of a leading national pharmacy network committed to patient care and career development.

Shift Information:

This is a permanent part-time position, working every second Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm (5.5 hours per fortnight). A regular Tuesday shift from 9:30am to 6:00pm is also available. Please specify your availability when applying if interested in both shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispensing and distributing medication efficiently and accurately.
• Conducting medication history interviews and medication reconciliation as required.
• Preparing discharge summaries during transitions of care.
• Providing medication counselling and education to patients.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advise on patient care.

About You

We welcome all pharmacists, whether experienced hospital pharmacists or community pharmacists eager to gain hospital experience.

Requirements include:

• Current Pharmacist registration with AHPRA.
• Previous pharmacy experience within Australia or New Zealand.
• Ability to manage workload independently and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
• A passion for developing clinical skills and knowledge.
