Heavy Duty Fitter Role

As a Heavy Duty Fitter with NRW, you are responsible for supporting the onsite team in scheduled maintenance, workshop, diagnostics and breakdowns on a wide variety of surface mining equipment.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, NRW Civil & Mining is proud to be one of the leading civil and mining contractors in Australia.

The role involves working on a wide range of projects, including surface mining equipment, and requires strong technical skills and knowledge of CAT 6060, CAT 793F Haul Trucks, Hitachi EX5600 Excavators, Komatsu WA900-8 Loaders.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Fitter who can work effectively in a team environment and has a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the onsite team in scheduled maintenance, workshop, diagnostics and breakdowns on surface mining equipment
  • Work on a wide range of projects, including surface mining equipment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Australian/NZ Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Tickets and licences EG: Forklift, Rigging, Crane, etc
  • Minimum 3 years post trade experience (MEM)
  • Experience with CAT 6060, CAT 793F Haul Trucks, Hitachi EX5600 Excavators, Komatsu WA900-8 Loaders
  • Demonstrated behaviours which align with NRW's values and safety standards
