Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team at Findmea, a national employment agency. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in assisting in the delivery and implementation of Transport Strategies and providing guidance in other transport planning policies and projects.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a local government council and contribute to the development of transport initiatives that improve city connectivity. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive parking management plans aligned with Council's transport strategies.
  • Providing expertise to improve city connectivity through transport planning.
  • Leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of transport initiatives.
  • Advocating for regional transport improvements with government and partners.
  • Ensuring transport planning reflects community values through stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in local and regional strategic planning and transport strategies.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging local and sub-regional transport issues.
  • Ability to pursue transport network improvements through advocacy and partnerships.
  • Proficient in preparing reports, policies, guidelines, and funding submissions.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, or Civil Engineering, and a current C class driver's licence.
