Job Overview

The Distribution Centre Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution centre, managing warehouse employees and ensuring the facility meets operational and safety standards.

  • Lead and supervise warehouse staff in scheduling, performance management, and training.
  • Ensure efficient handling, storage, and movement of inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Coordinate freight and courier logistics for timely delivery and receipt.
  • Establish relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure reliable services.

Leadership and Management:

  • Supervise and train warehouse staff to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or service improvements.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safe working practices and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

10 years' experience in logistics and/or warehouse management, 5 years in a management role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
