Information Security Specialist

Your RoleAs the newly created Information Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in leading Scope's information security incident response, managing the security technology stack, and overseeing vulnerability management. You will be responsible for overseeing third-party SOC services, serving as the primary contact for security incidents, and leading technical incident response activities to mitigate breaches.
Your Key Responsibilities- Manage security tools used by Scope, including Mimecast, Zscaler, Log Rhythm, Crowdstrike, and Microsoft Azure.
- Drive security projects, system optimizations, and compliance efforts while collaborating with IT teams to ensure consistent, strong security practices.
- Oversee third-party SOC services, ensuring they are effectively managed and aligned with Scope's security goals.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities for security breaches, data breaches, and other cyber incidents.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in IT security with a focus on technical implementation and management.

- In-depth knowledge of IT security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Expertise in managing and maintaining a wide range of IT security technologies.
- Qualifications desirable: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
- Experience working in Community and/or NFP organizations (highly regarded).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Right Fit for Risk (RFFR) framework.
- Ability to think and work strategically through working collaboratively with other leaders to align the organization's overall strategy.
