Building Support Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Building Support Team as a Building Support Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for proactively managing customer expectations, ensuring they are regularly updated on the status of their home during the building process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively manage customer expectations by ensuring clients are regularly updated on the status of their home during the building process.
  2. Effectively communicate and maintain the professional link between Metricon clients and site personnel to ensure feedback and resolution.
  3. Maintain customer files with relevant contract, variations, and other required documentation.
  4. Create workflow, complete tasks as they arise, and provide all relevant documentation, including compliance certificates, to nominated Building Inspectors.
  5. Confirm with Site Managers that inspections are complete to achieve occupancy permits.
  6. Coordinate the installation of gas lines/meters with authorities using CPT reports and coordinate electricity disconnections with service providers upon settlement.
  7. Ensure all information kept in the database is correct and up-to-date (client details).
  8. Complete and manage data entry and report compilation.
  9. Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services, and processes to confidently interact with clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a customer-focused role with conflict and problem management focus.
  • Able to read plans and knowledge of contracts an advantage or built a home before.
  • Proven ability to work in a pivotal customer contact role in a customer-focused, time-critical working environment.
  • Highly organized – ability to multi-task and deal with a variety of activities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a positive and professional manner in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK computer skills.
  • Some experience in using database systems is an added advantage.

Security Clearance

This role requires a national police check to be undertaken by the successful applicant.
