The Social Media Lead will be responsible for developing and executing a high-quality social media presence across the Big Bash League and Weber Women's Big Bash League channels.

This role will require administering year-round daily social media channels, executing campaigns from ideation to publishing, producing innovative content, and offering insights and execution in helping Big Bash sit at the forefront of Cricket Australia's Gen Z-focused audience-growth strategy.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Cricket Australia's overall goals and objectives.
  • Administer year-round daily social media channels and execute campaigns from ideation to publishing.
  • Produce innovative content across each channel to engage existing and prospective fans.
  • Offer insights and execution in helping Big Bash sit at the forefront of CA's Gen Z-focused audience-growth strategy.
  • Ensure supporting resources are aligned to Big Bash content plans and objectives.

Reporting to the Social Media Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with other functions of the business to support the broader social media team on other Cricket Australia-owned channels.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years' experience in digital content and/or communications teams managing social media communities.
  • Ability to think quick and interpret key moments as potential content opportunities.
  • Highly proficient using Adobe editing products such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Keen eye for emerging social media platforms and trends.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
